South Colchester Water work

Issues from Flooding on Roads in South Colchester are rising as it becomes clear that lack of maintenance hits home. The Mersea road junction with Bourne Road, and other sites along the length of Berechurch Hall Road are regularly being flooded so bad that water several inches deep lay for extremely long periods, with subsequent disruption to road users.

Once such example on Berechurch Hall Road is right beside the local bus stop, where water overflows from the road, over the kerb and laps at the bus stop.

Councillor Dave Harris (South Colchester County Councillor) says "It is not right that the lack of maintenance issues affect our area, I stood day after day at this bus stop, and repeated attempts to obtain assurance that the fault will be corrected has fallen short of a solution"
