Expansion of Waste Treatment Plant - Courtauld road.

Do you believe that plans to build a second waste management plan on Courtauld road should go ahead?

Proposals are currently in place to build a second diaretic digestive (food waste) treatment facility, alongside the existing waste management plant on Courtauld Road, Pitsea. This will undoubtedly go a long way in making the area more waste efficient and contribute to local prospects. In an already busy industrial estate however, this could potentially have a number of effects on the local area, including issues surrounding pollution, increased congestion, and difficulties for nearby residents. There are also concerns over the number of lorries that the increased capacity will bring to the area, with serious implications for existing road infrastructure and traffic. Do you believe the plans should go ahead?
